Watching BBC iplayer abroad provides me with a calming affect. I believe it is hard for many people to understand how this works but, sure enough it works for me. I am based in a country where there is internal strife. The sound of gunfire is more like music to the ears of most the inhabitants of this particular region in this war ravaged country. I’ m always left mouth agape whenever I hear the sound of gunfire, as the people here celebrate to the sound of gunfire.

I am only at peace when I get home. The BBC iplayer is my companion when at home. At least the BBC iplayer gets to provide something that is positive away from the bloodshed which I get to see on a day to day basis in the streets.
